Brazil (8)

when i was in the school, we make a trip with my class to Buzios, Brazil. We spent one week there. Buzios  is a beutiful beach with a very clear water and white sand. It's a village for tourist.

It was very relax because we could do everything that we want, for example it was no problem drink Caipirinha during the journey, the rule was not do it in front of the teachers. We know people there, we played football against a group of childrens of there and we lose, obviously.

One day we went to Rio de Janeiro, Buzios is very close to this big city, that we now because of the carnival that is a huge party. There are more things to see in that place, for example one of the biggest football stadiums around the world that is called "Maracana" or one of the biggest statue of Jesus in the top of a hill, it's like the statue of liberty.

These holidays were good because i was a teenager, 17 years old, with money, with my friends and in another country. Always when i am with my classmates we talk about it and we laugh so much because the things that we do together. Now i can see what we did on that time and make a smile for that.

Travel to rastaland

One of my dreams in my life, is to travel to Jamaica.to beggin with i have never been in the caribbean, so it is a good opportunity to know how is the life there. For us it is very strange to live in an island, but there is something normally. What is more insteresting is the mix of cultures that is in there, because the colonization and the traffic of slaves from africa that made many process that we now just today.

There are two words that transport us to jamaica instantly, reggae and ska. These are two music styles that are famous around the world. All the people know who was Bob Marley and The Wailers, maybe not The Skatalites that are more underground, but they are bands that are essential if you wanna know about the music from there.

My curiosity is knowing wich are the origins of these styles that are my favorites in this moment. There are many prejudices about this, that this music is for the people who smoke weed, and in fact many people that smoke hear reggae, but that is just a point of view. What is real is that there is a great culture behind this, and that is what i want to see there.

So, what i want to do is to stay there, not just like a tourist, maybe live there some months and know people, their habits, what they think about the life. I'm the kind of people that think that the music is more than what we hear is a gate to know things that we don't see normally.
